Making a musical instrument out of a paper towel roll?
I vaguely remember making a musical instrument out of a paper towel cardboard tube when I was little. I think it involved rubber-banding a piece of wax paper over one end. (I might be remembering wrong, too.) So, I want to make one...Anyone ever do this? How is it made? I tried just putting the wax paper over one end and it doesn't seem to work.
How about making a kazoo out of a comb and wax paper? Again, a vague memory...Anyone remember how to do either one?

well,, here are some suggestions.. not sure they will work either.. haha
take a plastic comb.. and take a small piece of wax paper.. it goes on top- side of the teeth of the comb..
hold it tightly..
put in mouth.. and blow.. I remember there was kinda of a art to this..
kinda like a horn instrument.. u have to have the no how or u have to practice a lot..
then the paper towel..??
seems like we put a few tiny hole in the roll.. near the top.. then use a rubber band to hold the wax paper on the bottom.. it can't be too tight around the roll..

Spring roll wrappers (rice paper)- Erawan brand, 16 oz

We like to dip the final product in our special sweet chile sauce for spring rolls, or a mixture of 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce, juice of one lime, two crushed Thai chile peppers and several cloves crushed garlic (use a mortar and pestle to crush the chiles and garlic).
