whats a good recipe to make for my cat treats for hairballs?
my cat is pretty big he weighs in at 35 to 40 pounds and he has long thick fur and always having a problem with hair balls. i don't have enough money to buy any special foods or treats. is there anything i can give him that's around the house i can give him. hes a mainecoone so hes fairly big in size
Do you have enough money to buy a comb? What this cat needs is regularly grooming - not Home Made recipes. Maine Coons have thick undercoats so you need to be combing this cat DAILY during shedding season and at least every other day all year long. The more loose hair you get out of his coat, the less hair he'll swallow and then he won't end up with hairballs.
In the meantime put a swipe of Vaseline on his paw. He'll lick it off and it'll help ease out the hair that's already in there.
