from $ 96.92

Planeta Italian extra virgin olive oil comes from two different family-owned olive groves. The first is the centuries-old grove named Ulmo, which surrounds the family's winery in Sambuca di Sicilia. The other is a younger grove called Capparrina and is situated on fertile land by the sea near Menfi, in the province of Agrigento. Both groves grow three varieties of olive: Cerasuola, Biancolilla and Nocellara de Belice. The latter represents approximately 60% of total production and is typical of the area. It is recognized for its large-sized fruit and produces an oil with a very distinctive flavor. The other two varieties, Cerasuola and Biancolilla, have a much more delicate flavor. The oil has a wonderful green color and a fresh bouquet of herbs, citrus fruit, artichokes and tomatoes. It has a delicate, full rather than spicy flavor.

4-pack of 3 Liter Extra Virgin Nuovo Olive Oil
USD 491.96

Our 2011 NUOVO olive oil comes from southern Tuscany and is produced by a farmer who tends to the oliveto (olive grove) organically, with many of the trees over 1000 years old. The olives have been harvested gently and pressed at a frantoio (olive mill) that uses the latest technology to preserve the nuances of the olives. Nuovo olive oil is bottled right after pressing, without filtration or settling and has a distinctive vibrant green color, intense fruity flavor and a peppery long finish. Only available once every year, this olive oil is best consumed within three months of opening. Over time it is normal for this olive oil to have some sediment at the bottom of the bottle. This just assures you that it has been bottled very quickly after pressing to preserve the fresh taste. At first the taste will be very intense, mellowing out over time and naturally clearing to a transparent chartreuse color. This is a 4 Pack of 3 Liter tins.  If you would like to order less than 4 tins, you can order using the individual tin item.

Lucini Extra Virgin Olive Oil , 25.4-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 2)
USD 44.89

Harvested for a full Tuscan taste with a peppery finish, Lucini Extra Virgin Olive Oil features an acidity level less than half of regular extra virgin olive oil. Hand-picked from trees that date back more than 100 years, the olives for this oil are harvested at peak ripeness and pressed immediately, so the flavorful, robust flavors are retained. This oil is certified kosher parve. Extra Virgin Tuscan Olive Oil from 100-Percent Hand-Picked Olives Grown on the Tuscan hillside, Lucini Extra Virgin Olive Oil delivers the full-bodied taste of olive oil estate-harvested by true aficionados. Ideal for use with recipes or as a pairing with bread, this olive oil exhibits a traditional Tuscan-tasting profile. The flavor begins green and robust, then finales with a peppery kick. The excellence of Lucini Italia olives begins in the soil. All Lucini Italia olives are grown 300 to 500 meters above sea level, where the soil and microclimate are optimum for cultivation, on premium olive trees that date back more than 100 years. The olives are nurtured to maturity by the sunny Italian climate under the expert care of Lucini Italia farmers, then hand-picked at the peak of ripeness. Pressed and prepared in small batches, these olives produce oil with authentic, exceptional flavor. Naturally Extra Virgin with Ultra-Low Acidity The phrase "extra virgin" is chemical term that actually does not assure quality. In fact, any olive oil meeting a chemical requirement of less than 0.8-percent acidity can be given the extra virgin label, though many of these olive oils reach low acidity by unnatural processes. Lucini Italia is proud to naturally produce extra virgin olive oils at 0.2 to 0.4-percent acidity--that's less than half the acidity of typical extra virgins. The pure, ultra-low acidity of Lucini Italia olives is a result of the company's hand-picked, small-batch method. About Lucini Italia: A Tradition of Authentic, Handcrafted Products Founded by Renee Frigo and Daniel Graeff, the Lucini Italia Company operates on the philosophy that great tasting food comes from only the most cared-for, high-quality ingredients. Their passion for creating authentic, handcrafted gourmet foods is inspired by the time-honored culinary customs of Italy, starting with the traditional use of 100-percent natural ingredients grown by regional farmers. Thanks to these practices and collaboration with celebrated chefs and health and wellness experts, the Lucini Italia family of products has grown to include award-winning extra virgin olive oils, artisan vinegars, gourmet tomato and cheese sauces, savory soups, and a special collection of limited production organic items.

San Giuliano Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 25-Ounce Glass Bottless (Pack of 3)
USD 36.00

The San Giuliano "Fruttato", offered in the Canadian market with the "Cuore d'Olivo" label, comes from the great olive oil processing tradition of the Manca family, aimed at satisfying the most refined gourmets. This selected olive oil has been obtained with loving care; hence, the Italian name "Cuore d'Olivo" which means "from the heart of the olive". A particular selection of olives and a natural process of decantation and filtration without chemical treatment make this oil the best choice for the most sophisticated users. Fruity aroma, hence also the name "fruttato", used for the European market, hints of wild grasses and a light opaqueness are the characteristics of this unique oil. The "San Giuliano Estates" in Alghero, Sardinia are a clear example of the evolution of the agricultural and food industry towards a reality where the boundaries are extended to include other activities, which, in this case, complement the Manca Family's tradition of agricultural production. The Estate groves, spread out in various locations, cover a total of about 600 acres. On the San Giuliano hills, where the oil mill stands today, the olive trees find an ideal eco-climate in perfect harmony between the sea and the hillside, one of the best exposures in the area for the production of prime quality Bosana olives. Here, the olive groves are tended more like gardens, always perfectly clean and neat, where fertilization is done with natural substances, as is pest control.
