How do you deal with bathroom odors with your co-owner significant other/roomate/housemate?

Is it embarrassing, particularly because it's so unsexy, to have to poop with the odor left over to pervade the bathroom. I know there's Lysol Neutra Air now as well as Febreeze or Oust, but they usually take a little longer to work completely. I mean, for those of you who are living with a romant/sexual interest or significant other or just any roomate, how do you deal?

If it really bothers you...

1. mercy flush (meaning flush as it is coming out, the quicker the flush, the less the oders)
2. burn a match - sulfer smells better than stank. also the gases that cause the bad smells in the first place will burn away.
3. Open a window, air it out.
4. Don't use the bathroom first, let them go and go after. Chances are they won't go back in until the next time they need to go. It will have aired out by then if you follow lessons 1-3
