How much do you spend on groceries per wk/month?
-How many people are in your family?
-This is including paper products, cleaners, house hold stuff, and diapers/wipes.
-Do you eat out regularly? Do you buy lunch out?
My husband and I have a 2 year old daughter and we spend anywhere between 90-150 per week. Averaging $115per month.
We eat every breakfast and dinner at home and pack a lunch everyday.
My husband thinks its outrageous but I buy anything packaged in bulk, and all my produce is from a produce market to cut costs. I buy almost everything store brand and clip coupons like a mad woman.
Also, I dont buy lots of Snack Food or processed products that are expensive.
What can I do to fix this?
ps I live in NJ everything is expensive here.
LOL. Allow me to pick myself up off the floor. Are you kidding? You guys are dirt cheap.
I live in a major city in Canada where we pay 13% tax on EVERYTHING. We are also very frugal.
Our budget for two weeks for groceries, household items, gas, and personal things like haircuts is $500/ two weeks. We can nearly never make it and always have to extend it to be $700-800. We spent $500 last week alone due to needing pull-ups, diapers and wipes all in the same week. We buy generic, eat simply, go nowhere and do nothing.
We are a family of four with a 2 year old and a 1 year old. I am pregnant with our third.
My husband would be jumping for joy at $200/week.
