How does the weight watchers system work? - how many points can you have a day?

I have decided to join weight watchers but was wondering if I could give it a try first myself as I found a points list on the internet. How many points do you have a day? How does exercise fit into the plan - do you get points for that or something?

I have been going to ww for 15 weeks and have lost 27 lbs but i do attend every meeting, they make you lose 3x times more weight then trying it alone, but hey it is worth a try. this is how you caculate

1)Enter the first two digits of your weight in lbs, for example , if you weigh 175 then enter 17.

2) Are you
Female 2 points
Male 8 points can you belive the difference.

3) How old are you
17-26 4points
27-37 3 points
38-47 2 points
48-58 1 point
over 58 0 points

4) How tall are you
Under 5"1 0 points
5"1 to 5"10 1 point
Over 5"10 2 points

5) How do you spend most of your day
sitting down Ex office worker 0 points

Occasionally sitting but mostly standing ex mom or salesperson 2 poin

Walking most of the time ex posta carrier 4 points

Doing physically hard work ex construction worker 6 points

For nursing mothers

solely breast feeding 10 points

Supplementing breastfeeding with solid food or formula 5 points

so this is mine
